Acceptance and scope
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Tjati's mobile applications, websites, support channels and related products and services that link to these Terms (together, the “Service”). “Tjati,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the Service.
You accept these Terms when you create an account, click an acceptance control, purchase or start a subscription, or use the Service after being given access to them. If you use Tjati for a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization; “you” then includes both you and the organization.
Additional terms shown for a feature, promotion, enterprise plan or app marketplace form part of the agreement for that item. If additional terms conflict with these Terms, the more specific terms control for that subject. The Privacy Policy explains our information practices but is not part of these Terms unless applicable law says otherwise.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Tjati and must meet any higher minimum age required in your country to consent to an online service. If local law allows a person below that higher age to use Tjati only with a parent or legal guardian's permission, that permission is required and the parent or guardian is responsible for the minor's use.
You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from receiving it, if we previously disabled your account for a serious violation and did not authorize a new account, or if you are acting for a person or entity subject to applicable trade restrictions.
The Service and your license
Tjati is a productivity service that can organize areas of life, goals, projects, tasks, habits, reminders, notes and focus sessions; provide AI and voice interactions; and connect to supported mail, calendar and other services. Features differ by device, plan, region, account and release stage.
Subject to these Terms, Tjati grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable license to install and use the object-code version of our app on devices you own or control, solely to use the Service for its intended purpose. App-store family or volume purchasing rules may allow additional users or devices.
This license does not transfer ownership. Except where applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, publicly display, reverse engineer, decompile, attempt to derive source code from, or circumvent technical protections of the Service.
Accounts and security
Provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably current. You are responsible for activity through your account to the extent permitted by law, including actions you authorize through AI, voice or integrations. Do not share authentication credentials or let another person impersonate you.
- Use reasonable safeguards for your device, email account and sign-in method.
- Notify [email protected] promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Do not create accounts through automated or deceptive means or interfere with identity verification.
- Do not use another person's account or connect an external account unless you have authority to do so.
We may require account verification or additional security steps. We are not responsible for loss caused by your failure to protect credentials where that exclusion is permitted by law, but this does not exclude responsibility for Tjati's own breach of duty.
Your content
Ownership and responsibility
You retain the rights you already have in tasks, notes, conversations, prompts, files, audio, connected-service content, feedback and other material you submit to or create through the Service (“Your Content”). You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights and permissions needed to provide it, process it with the selected features and direct Tjati to send or share it.
Limited license to operate Tjati
You grant Tjati a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit, retrieve, display and otherwise process Your Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support and improve the operation of the Service you request. This includes syncing across devices, backing up data, generating requested AI output, processing voice, operating integrations and presenting content to you or a recipient you select.
This license is not a right to use private content in advertising or to publish it for promotion. It ends when Your Content is deleted from active systems, except to the limited extent it remains in technical backups or must be retained for security, legal, dispute-resolution or compliance purposes. Our Privacy Policy explains retention in more detail.
Shared content
If you create a public or shareable conversation link, invite another person or use a connected service, you instruct Tjati to make the selected content available to those recipients. Anyone with a share link may be able to view its content until the link is revoked, expires or is otherwise disabled. Review content and attachments before sharing. A recipient may copy information before access ends.
AI and automated features
Tjati uses third-party and internally operated models to understand requests, retrieve context, generate responses, recommend actions and help update your data. Relevant prompts, Your Content, connected-service content and technical context may be processed by AI, embedding, transcription and observability providers as explained in the Privacy Policy. Providers and models may change by feature or configuration.
- No professional advice. Output is general information and productivity assistance, not legal, medical, financial, employment, tax, safety or other professional advice.
- No high-impact decisions. Do not use Tjati as the sole basis for decisions that determine another person's eligibility, rights, employment, credit, housing, health care, legal status or access to essential services.
- Actions and tools. When you confirm or directly request an action, you authorize Tjati to use connected tools and accounts to attempt it — reading from a connected service, or preparing a draft for you there. Check the result; external systems can reject, delay or alter a request.
- Output rights. As between you and Tjati and to the extent the law permits, Tjati does not claim ownership of output generated specifically for you. Output may not qualify for intellectual-property protection, may resemble others' output and may be subject to third-party rights.
- Report problems. Do not rely on Tjati in an emergency. Report unsafe or materially incorrect behavior to [email protected].
You may not use an AI feature to generate or facilitate unlawful abuse, malware, fraud, impersonation, exploitation, targeted harassment or infringement. We may apply safeguards, limits and human or automated review to protect the Service and its users.
Voice features
Voice features process audio to transcribe and respond to a request. Use them only when you have permission to record or transmit the people and content involved. Recording laws differ by location and may require every participant's consent. You are responsible for complying with them.
Background noise, accent, connectivity and model behavior can cause transcription or instruction errors. Review any resulting content or action. Do not use voice features for emergency communication, safety-critical control or circumstances where a mistaken transcription could create a material risk of harm.
Third-party integrations
Tjati can connect to Gmail and Google Calendar. Outlook Mail and Microsoft Calendar are coming soon and cannot be connected yet. You choose whether to connect an account and authorize the permissions shown by the provider. For a service you have connected, Tjati reads mail and calendar data and can prepare a mail draft. It does not send mail, and it does not add, change or remove anything in your calendar.
- You represent that you are authorized to connect the account and process its content through Tjati.
- Your instructions authorize Tjati to access and use the connected service within the permissions you granted.
- Review a draft, its recipients and its contents before you send it. Tjati prepares the draft; sending is your action, not ours.
- You can disconnect an integration in Tjati and may also need to revoke access in the provider's settings.
- The external provider's availability, terms, limits and decisions remain outside Tjati's control.
Your use of Google data through Tjati is also subject to Google's applicable account terms, and Tjati handles Google API data under the Limited Use requirements described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You must use the Service lawfully and must not help another person do any of the following:
- violate law, sanctions, privacy, publicity, intellectual-property or other rights;
- upload or distribute malware, malicious code or content intended to compromise a device, account or network;
- attempt unauthorized access, probe vulnerabilities, bypass rate limits or safeguards, or interfere with the Service or another user;
- scrape, harvest, index or extract data at scale except through an interface or export feature we expressly provide;
- send spam, phishing, deceptive communications, unwanted bulk messages or content that impersonates another person or organization;
- harass, exploit, threaten or facilitate harm to a person, including sexual exploitation or abuse involving minors;
- use the Service to develop, benchmark or train a competing model or service by extracting outputs or non-public functionality, unless we agree in writing or applicable law prevents the restriction;
- resell, rent or provide the Service as a bureau or managed service without our written permission; or
- remove ownership notices or misrepresent that Tjati sponsors, endorses or produced content when it did not.
Reasonable security research conducted under a published Tjati vulnerability policy, if one is made available, is not prohibited when it follows that policy. Contact us before testing in a way that might affect other users or production systems.
Subscriptions, cancellation and refunds
Plans and renewal
Some features require a paid subscription. The App Store purchase screen displays the price, currency, billing period, included trial or introductory offer, taxes and other material terms before you confirm. Those displayed terms control the purchase. Unless Apple says otherwise, a subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current displayed price until canceled.
Marketplace billing
Apple processes the payment and manages billing credentials. Its terms govern charging, renewal, cancellation, refunds and payment disputes. Tjati may use RevenueCat to receive and manage receipt and entitlement information. You authorize Apple to charge your selected payment method according to the purchase screen.
Cancellation and deletion
Cancel through the subscription settings of the Apple account used to purchase. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period unless Apple or applicable law says otherwise. Deleting your Tjati account, signing out or uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription. Cancel separately to avoid future renewal.
Trials and promotions
If a trial or promotional offer is shown, its eligibility, duration and conversion terms appear at purchase. Unless you cancel before the deadline shown by the App Store, the offer may convert to a paid, automatically renewing subscription. We may limit promotions by account, household, payment method or prior use where law permits.
Refunds and price changes
Request refunds from Apple, subject to its policy and applicable law. Tjati cannot guarantee or override Apple's refund decision. We may change future subscription prices or features with notice required by Apple or law. A price change applies to a renewal only when permitted and after any required consent. Nothing in these Terms limits a mandatory refund, cooling-off period or other consumer right.
Tjati rights and feedback
The Service, including its software, visual design, branding, interfaces, documentation, compilation, and content supplied by Tjati, is owned by Tjati or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms grant only the limited license described above. Tjati names, logos and product appearance may not be used in a way that implies endorsement or causes confusion without permission.
If you send suggestions, ideas or other feedback, you grant Tjati a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, irrevocable and royalty-free right to use that feedback without restriction or payment. This feedback license does not give us ownership of Your Content or permission to identify you publicly without consent.
Changes, availability and beta features
We may add, change, limit or discontinue features to improve Tjati, respond to security or legal needs, accommodate provider changes or manage technical and business constraints. We will provide notice when required and will not remove a mandatory consumer remedy. Features may differ across devices, plans and regions.
The Service may experience interruptions, maintenance, capacity limits or errors. We do not promise that every feature or integration will always be available. If we discontinue the entire paid Service before the end of your prepaid period, we will provide the remedy required by the App Store or applicable law.
Preview, experimental or beta features may be less reliable, may change without notice and may have additional terms. Do not use them for production-critical, safety-critical or irreplaceable information. Any confidentiality designation shown for a private beta must be respected.
Third-party services
The Service may link to, display content from or interoperate with third-party services. Tjati does not control their content, security, availability or independent conduct. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy.
Tjati is not responsible for a third party's acts or omissions, except where applicable law makes us responsible or where the issue results from our own failure to use reasonable care. Contact the relevant provider for issues with its account, content or platform, and contact Tjati if the issue concerns how our integration behaved.
Suspension and termination
By you
You may stop using Tjati at any time. You may request account deletion through the in-app privacy controls or at [email protected]. Export content you need before deletion. Marketplace subscription cancellation is separate.
By Tjati
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you materially or repeatedly violated these Terms, created a security or legal risk, failed to pay an applicable charge, abused the Service, or if we are required to do so by law or a provider essential to the Service. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure or appeal before termination. We may act immediately for urgent security, legal or safety reasons.
Effect
When access ends, your license ends and you must stop using the Service. Account and content handling follows the Privacy Policy and your deletion request. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including ownership, feedback, accrued payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute and general terms.
Disclaimers
Nothing in this section excludes a warranty or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You are responsible for maintaining copies of content you cannot afford to lose, verifying important output, and deciding whether the Service fits your needs. Tjati does not warrant third-party services, internet connectivity, devices, marketplaces or content supplied by other users.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, willful misconduct, gross negligence where recognized, breach of mandatory data-protection duties, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tjati and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, opportunities or data, arising from or related to the Service, even if advised that such loss was possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the combined liability of Tjati and the parties listed above for all claims arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) USD 100 or its local-currency equivalent.
These exclusions and limits apply only to the extent they are fair and enforceable under applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions, so some terms may not apply to you. If you are a consumer, your statutory remedies remain available.
Indemnity
If you use Tjati on behalf of a business or organization, that organization will, to the extent permitted by law, defend and indemnify Tjati and its affiliates, officers, employees and agents against third-party claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from the organization's unlawful use of the Service, Your Content, or a material breach of these Terms.
If you use Tjati as an individual consumer, you are responsible for reasonably foreseeable loss caused by your intentional unlawful conduct or material breach, but you are not required to indemnify Tjati to the extent prohibited by consumer law or for a claim caused by Tjati's own breach, negligence or misconduct.
We will notify an indemnifying party of a covered claim, permit reasonable control of the defense and cooperate at that party's expense. No settlement may admit fault by or impose a non-monetary obligation on Tjati without our written consent.
Disputes and applicable law
Contact us first
Before filing a formal claim, contact [email protected] with a description of the issue and requested resolution. We will try in good faith to resolve it. This does not shorten a legal filing deadline or prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief.
Law and courts
The law governing these Terms and the courts with jurisdiction are determined under the mandatory conflict-of-law, jurisdiction and consumer-protection rules that apply to the parties and the dispute. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms deprives you of protections that cannot be waived under the law of your habitual residence or of access to a court or dispute process available to you under that law.
These Terms do not require individual arbitration and do not waive a right to participate in a class or representative action where that right exists. The parties submit disputes to a court or tribunal with competent jurisdiction unless they later agree to another lawful process.
Apple App Store terms
If you download Tjati through Apple's App Store, Apple's purchase rules and the license terms presented with the listing apply. Unless the App Store listing presents a valid custom end-user license agreement, use of the iOS app is licensed under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These website Terms govern the Tjati Service and supplement, but do not replace, mandatory store terms.
- These Terms are between you and Tjati, not Apple. Tjati, not Apple, is responsible for the Service and its content, subject to these Terms.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Tjati. Contact [email protected] for support.
- If the iOS app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, as required by its terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Tjati.
- Tjati, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product-liability, legal-compliance and consumer-protection claims, except to the extent responsibility belongs to another party under applicable law.
- Tjati, not Apple, is responsible for investigating and resolving a claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual-property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism and are not listed on a United States government prohibited or restricted-party list.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Tjati, including mobile carrier, device and connected-service terms.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce the applicable license terms against you.
Export controls and sanctions
You may not use, export, re-export, transfer or make the Service available in violation of applicable export-control, import or sanctions laws. You represent that you are not prohibited from receiving the Service under those laws. You are responsible for obtaining any authorization required for Your Content, device or intended use.
General terms
- Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms for legal, security, feature or business reasons. We will post the new date and provide additional notice for material changes where required. If consent is legally required, we will request it. Otherwise, continued use after the effective date means the updated Terms apply going forward.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms or your account without our written consent. Tjati may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, reorganization, financing or sale of the relevant business, with notice where required and without reducing mandatory consumer rights.
- No waiver. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. A waiver must be in writing and applies only to the specific circumstance stated.
- Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent or modified only as needed, and the remaining provisions continue.
- No agency. These Terms do not create employment, partnership, joint venture, franchise or agency between you and Tjati.
- Notices. We may send notices through the Service, to your account email or by another reasonable method. You may send legal and support communications to the contact below.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, applicable purchase terms, feature-specific terms and documents expressly incorporated by reference are the entire agreement about the Service and replace prior agreements on the same subject.
