Contact support
Email [email protected]. There is no ticket portal and no phone queue — that address reaches us directly, and we aim to reply within two business days.
You will get a faster answer if your first message includes:
- What you expected, and what happened instead. One sentence each is plenty.
- Roughly when it happened, including your time zone. This is what lets us find the matching diagnostics.
- Your app version and iPhone model, from Settings → About in the app.
- A screenshot or screen recording, if the problem is something you can see.
Getting started
Tjati is an iPhone app. Install it from the App Store, then sign in with Apple or with your email address. There is nothing to configure before you start.
The core loop is deliberately short: say or type what is on your mind, in your own words. Tjati works out the structure — the goal, project, task, habit or note it belongs to — and shows you what it proposes to change. Nothing consequential is written until you confirm it.
If the first thing you try does not land the way you expected, that is useful to us. Send it over verbatim rather than rewording it into something that worked.
Your account and sign-in
Sign-in uses Apple or a code sent to your email address. We do not store your password, because there is no Tjati password to store.
- The code has not arrived. Give it a minute, then check your spam or promotions folder. If it still has not appeared, email us from the address you are trying to use.
- You signed up with Apple and want to use email instead, or the reverse. Email us — we can look at which identities are attached to your account before anything is changed.
- You have lost access to the email address itself. Contact us. We will ask you to demonstrate control of the account another way before we change anything, and we may not be able to help if we cannot establish that.
Exporting your data
You can export everything you have put into Tjati, yourself, without asking us. In the app go to Settings → Privacy, choose JSON or Markdown, and tap Export. The file is produced on the spot and handed to the iOS share sheet, so you decide where it goes.
- JSON keeps the structure and the relationships between items. Choose this if you intend to move the data somewhere else.
- Markdown is meant to be read. Choose this if you want a copy you can open anywhere.
If the export fails or looks incomplete, tell us which format you chose and roughly when you tried.
Deleting your account
Deletion is self-serve and permanent. In the app go to Settings → Privacy, type DELETE to confirm, and confirm once more. This deletes your account and the content associated with it.
If you cannot reach the in-app path — you have lost access to the device, for example — email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask for deletion. We will confirm your identity before acting, and confirm again in writing once it is done.
What we retain afterwards, and for how long, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Voice and the microphone
Tjati asks for microphone access the first time you use a voice feature. The microphone is used only while you have a voice session open — there is no background listening and no wake word.
Voice is optional. If you decline the permission, or later turn it off in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Tjati, everything else in the app continues to work; you type instead of speaking.
If voice stops responding mid-session, close the session and start a new one. If that happens repeatedly, tell us when it happened and whether you were on Wi-Fi or cellular.
Notifications
Notifications are opt-in and off until you allow them. You control which kinds you receive in Settings → Notifications in the app, and you can switch them off entirely in iOS Settings → Notifications → Tjati.
If notifications stop arriving, check both places — iOS-level permission and the in-app preferences — before contacting us, since turning the system permission off silently disables everything regardless of the in-app setting.
Troubleshooting
These cover most of what people write in about. If none of them fits, email us.
| Symptom | What to try |
|---|---|
| The app opens to a blank or stuck screen | Close the app fully and reopen it. If it persists, confirm you are on the latest version from the App Store, then restart your iPhone. |
| You were signed out unexpectedly | Sign in again with the same method you used originally. Your content lives on our servers, not only on the device, so signing back in restores it. |
| Something you added is missing | Check your connection and pull to refresh. If it is still missing, email us the approximate time you added it and what it was — that is usually enough to trace it. |
| The assistant misunderstood you | Tjati shows you what it plans to change before it changes it. Decline the proposal and rephrase. If a specific phrasing fails repeatedly, send it to us verbatim. |
| The app crashed | Reopen it — crash diagnostics are reported automatically and anonymously. Telling us roughly when it happened and what you were doing lets us match it to the report. |
| Reinstalling | Deleting the app from your iPhone does not delete your account or your content. Reinstall and sign in to get everything back. To actually erase your data, use the deletion path below. |
Privacy requests
The export and deletion paths above are the fastest route to the two requests people make most, and neither needs our involvement. For anything else — correcting information, asking what we hold, objecting to a particular use — email [email protected] with Privacy request in the subject.
- Send it from the email address on the account, so we can tell it is you.
- We may ask you to confirm your identity another way before we act on a request that changes or discloses data.
- We acknowledge within two business days and complete the request within the period the applicable law allows.
What we collect and why is described in the Privacy Policy.
Reporting a security issue
If you believe you have found a vulnerability, email [email protected] with Security in the subject line. We would rather hear about it early and informally than not at all.
- Include what you found, how to reproduce it, and what an attacker could do with it.
- We acknowledge security reports within two business days and keep you updated until it is closed.
- Please do not access, modify or delete data belonging to anyone else while investigating, and give us a reasonable chance to fix the issue before publishing it.
Billing
This version of Tjati is a free preview. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no payment method attached to your account. Nothing in the app charges you.
If a charge ever appears on your Apple account attributed to Tjati, it did not come from us. Apple handles all App Store purchases and refunds — start at reportaproblem.apple.com — and tell us as well, so we can look into it from our side.
If Tjati becomes a paid product later, that will be announced in advance and will never apply retroactively to a period you used it for free.
Availability and incidents
Tjati depends on our servers, so a network problem on our side can make the app unable to sync or respond even though it opens normally.
If Tjati is unreachable and your connection is otherwise fine, email us — we will tell you whether it is a known incident and roughly when we expect it resolved. During an incident that affects everyone, we reply to the first message and then update by email rather than answering each report separately.
